No amount of preparation or alertness could prepare any driver for this freak accident.
In this shocking dashcam footage, a loose tire from a pickup truck sends a Kia Soul soaring in the air.
According to Yahoo News, the incident happened on March 23 in Los Angeles. Tesla driver Anoop Khatra was driving on the Ronald Reagan Freeway when he witnessed the bizarre mishap. His dashcam captured the whole thing from start to finish.
In the video, you can see the Kia driving alongside a white pickup truck. When the pickup’s front left tire comes loose, it is propelled under the Kia, shooting it high in the air. The Kia crashes upside down on the highway, and rolls over with debris covering the road. And as if the tire hasn’t caused enough damage, it comes rolling back into frame and hits the Kia a second time before rolling away. On the right side of the screen, you can see the white pickup truck pull over into the shoulder.
Yahoo reported that the Los Angeles Police Department said the accident caused no major injuries, and both drivers were miraculously unharmed.
