Another viral clip out of r/Truckers is getting people talking for all the wrong reasons. The video, posted by u/Leading_Strategy_627, shows an Amazon trucker driving down the highway at night with quite the distraction in their cab.
Right behind the steering wheel, propped up on the dashboard, is a device playing what appears to be a movie or tv show. The screen is smack dab in the middle of the driver’s line of sight while the truck is driving.

Long nights on the road can get boring, and every driver knows how tough it can be to stay alert mile after mile, but this is one of those situations where it’s just not worth the risk. Taking your eyes off the road at highway speed can go bad fast, especially in a big rig.
If you’re looking for something to pass the time, there are safer options. Audiobooks, podcasts, or music can keep your mind engaged without pulling your attention away from driving. Plenty of drivers swear by them for long runs, especially overnight.
At the end of the day, getting the load there safe is what matters most.
