Thanks to these firefighters, the bacon didn’t burn in 100+ degree weather!
According to KWCH 12, that a semi hauling a trailer full of pigs broke down on I-70 in Geary County, Kansas. The trailer, filled to the brim with 250 pigs, was cramped with little airflow and caused some of the swine to overheat.
The National Weather Service reported temperatures of over 100 degrees, and that the area was under an excessive heat warning.
Luckily for those little piggies, the fire departments of Geary County and Riley County came to the rescue with water to cool them off. They used hoses to spray in the trailer while the trailer was stopped on the highway.
