Turn around, don’t drown!
That’s the advice this driver should’ve remembered before driving through these deep waters in a flooded Wisconsin area. On May 2, the Prairie du Chien Police Department posted these pictures to remind drivers to be vigilant when driving around flood waters. According to this post, the driver navigated around barricades and closed road signs to get stuck in the water.
In their post they wrote, “So, you think you’re having a bad day? Do NOT drive around barricades and road closed signs. Do NOT try to drive through flood water. Your day will only get worse.”

One Facebook user wrote, “Jesus take the wheel does not mean you can drive on water.”
Another added, “Even if you can see the road through the water that does not mean there is roadway underneath. Could be washed underneath and will collapse under you!”
