You may not be able to catch lightning in a bottle, but you can capture it on dashcam!
This video, posted by u/Hot-Atmosphere-714 on the r/Truckers subreddit shows a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it barrage of lightning strikes that light up the sky.
The trucker was driving down the highway a little after 1:00 a.m. with his dashcam on. About 6 seconds into the video is when the sky lights up with a bright bombardment of lightning. In the title of the post, they joked that they “needed sunglasses for this one.”

In the comments, one trucker wrote, “One thing I miss about driving in the South was all the storms like these. Really cool to watch.’
Another chimed in, saying, “That’s big on camera I’m sure the real thing was much more shocking! I was expecting some bright headlights or something.”
