The rig is owned by Stewart-Haas Racing and was driving to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for a race this weekend. SHR released a statement saying neither occupants of the truck were injured. The statement also confirmed that speed was not the cause of the accident.
According to KAFF News, the hauler told state troopers that he passed out while driving, causing him to lose control and drive into the guardrail. The two racecars being hauled in the trailer were unharmed, and arrangements were made to hook the trailer up to a new rig to be delivered to Las Vegas.
