A semi truck’s top was ripped off by an overpass on the Jackie Robinson Parkway in Queens, New York on October 20.
According to CBS New York, the big rig attempted drive under the overpass, made it through to the other side, lost its top, and made a mess all over the road. As a result, the parkway between Metropolitan Avenue and Union Turnpike was closed into the afternoon.

A video from CBS New York’s YouTube channel shows a bird’s eye view of the accident. “When you get your CDL the number one thing they want you to learn is that trucks are not supposed to be on parkways,” wrote one commenter. Another said, “Trucks are not supposed to go on Jackie Robinson.”
