In a sticky turn of events on the interstate, a semi truck found itself unexpectedly tarred after an accident.
NBC Chicago reported that a wreck on I-80/I-94 spilled about 750 gallons of tar onto the highway. The accident happened on the morning of August 22 and cleanup is expected to take a while. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management was sent to help assess and handle the situation.
Although the scene of the accident itself was in Indiana, traffic was reportedly backed up all the way from I-80/I-94 across the border into Illinois. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported yet.
