This high speed chase came to a safe end thanks to the help of a brave and cooperative trucker.
Arrow Trans Corp, a trucking company based in Illinois, posted a video this week of one of their drivers helping aid officers in a highway chase. The incident happened on the Warren Anderson Expressway in Oneonta, New York on December 1.
In the video, the trucker merges into the right lane when they notice the police lights coming up behind them on the left. A state trooper is able to cutoff the runaway vehicle to drive in front of them. That officer rides even with the trucker to instruct them with how to proceed. The state trooper asks the trucker to match their speed and stay in the right lane. While other troopers close in on the vehicle in from behind, the group is able to box them in. Finally, the chase comes to a halt as the officer in front slows down to a stop. Police are then able to take the suspect into custody, and the trucker continues his day on the road.
