WATCH: 14 Trucks Incinerated in Parking Lot Fire

Over a dozen semis went up in flames when a fire erupted at a trucking company’s parking lot.

CBS News Chicago reported that 14 trucks at FORE Transportation were burned and damaged by flames on December 11. According to witnesses, an explosion was reportedly heard in the area, but it is currently unknown what caused the fire.

“There were explosion after explosion that woke my family up out of their sleep. It sounded like mortar fire. It was really huge. It sounded like a warzone, and I was concerned about safety, as far as what’s in the smoke. There are some industrial companies back here; not sure what they’re hauling,” said Gerald Sconyers, a neighbor of the company.

Watch Sconyers’ video of the fire:

ABC7 Chicago’s Chopper 7 flew over the parking lot to record video of the damaged trucks. See the footage below:

It is still unknown what the trucks were hauling, or what started the fire.
