WATCH: Confused 4-Wheeler Overturns Diesel Tanker

Truckers all over the internet are scratching their heads over one question… what the hell was that 4-wheeler doing?

On May 25, KCCI Des Moines reported an accident caused a diesel tanker to overturn in Iowa. Traffic camera footage shows the whole thing go down. When it begins, all seems normal on I-35. A white sedan is stopped on the right shoulder, but traffic moves casually past it. However, things take a turn when the car finds a gap in the traffic flow. The sedan cuts it’s wheels to drive across both lanes of traffic, causing the 18-wheeler to crash into it. The car spins wildly into the grassy median, and the tanker rolls on its side. Smoke covers the scene and some fuel is spilled.

According to KCCI, Iowa State Patrol said that the tanker was hauling 8,000 gallons of diesel, and only a small amount of it was spilled. What could be salvaged was pumped into a different tanker. The accident happened around 9 a.m. and shut down traffic on I-35 for 4 hours. Luckily, both drivers survived the crash and only suffered minor injuries.
