WATCH: Police Chase Twelve-Year-Old on Stolen Forklift

A pre-teen’s joyride in a stolen forklift damaged 10 vehicles and landed him in juvie.

On November 25 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, the local police department received a report of an attempted theft of a construction vehicle equipped with a forklift. The thief, a 12-year-old boy, stole the vehicle from Forsythe Middle School using a key left in the cab.

The juvenile thief led police on a slow-speed chase going about 15-20 mph for over an hour. Finally, the forklift came to a stop… after hitting about 10 parked cars along the way.

The 12-year-old was taken into custody by AAPD and sent to the local juvenile detention center. Thankfully, no one was hurt in the incident.
