An overturned semi trailer set a dozen pigs free on I-694 last week.
Fox 9 reported that the accident happened June 9 in Little Canada, Minnesota. The trucker was hauling 50 pigs eastbound in the trailer before it tipped over. At least 12 pigs managed to free themselves and ran amok in traffic.
The section of Interstate 694 where the trailer overturned was closed while the Minnesota State Patrol tried to corral the swine stampede.
Its unclear what exactly happened or how the crash occurred, but the trucker was unharmed. Unfortunately, 10 pigs perished in the incident.
