Truckers have been left flabbergasted by this viral video that’s been making its rounds online.
The video, posted by r/Xeoxys on the r/Truckers subreddit, shows an 18-wheeler rolling backwards out of control.
It appears that the driver didn’t set the big rig’s brakes properly, as viewers can see it pick up speed as it careens in reverse. If you look closely, you can see the driver holding on to the driver’s side door as the semi rolls. Right before it jackknifes, he lets go and watches the damage unfold.

In the comments, one user pointed out, “Buddy is lucky he didn’t get killed doing that jfc.” Another user compared the situation to a nightmare, saying, “Omg, this is something straight out of a bad dream. Yall ever had that nightmare where you push down on the brakes and they don’t work and the rig keeps going!!???”
Always remember to secure your rig before leaving the cab, and stay safe out there drivers!
