As bad as this looks, this accident could’ve been much worse.
That’s what Oklahoma Highway Patrol said in a Tweet last week when they shared a video of a semi accident. On January 31, a highway patrol trooper recorded the video on his dashcam. The video shows a white semi truck driving in slick, icy conditions. The trucker loses control of the vehicle and jackknifes it. The whole scene unfolded right in front of the trooper, who was sitting in his vehicle on the opposite side of the road.
The trucker was issued a ticket for “traveling at a speed not reasonable and proper for the road conditions.” Luckily, no on was injured in the incident.
Watch the whole thing unfold below:
This could have been so much worse! Trooper Adam Wood #959 captured this video on his dash cam this morning around 9:45 on I-40 one mile east of Vian in Sequoyah County.
