What in the world happened to this trailer? Apparently, the cause of this bizarre accident is a mystery.
The Ontario Provincial Police shared a series of photos featuring a pretty banged up semi-truck on Twitter this week. In the photos you can see the severely damaged trailer, but what’s missing is the cause of the wreckage. The semi was hauling car parts when it was damaged. The OPP Highway Safety Division called it a “structural failure” but the cause was unknown.

CTV News Toronto reported that the incident occurred on April 17 on Highway 427 in Vaughan, Ontario. All lanes were closed while cleanup crews removed debris from the road. The ordeal lasted about 3 hours before lanes reopened.
