Dashcam footage shows an absolute cluster jam of a traffic fiasco… but who is to blame?
Reddit user u/bgerrard shared footage from a close call that happened earlier this month. In the clip, the dash cammer is approaching an intersection when a semi driving the opposite way seems to start turning into their lane. The dash cammer quickly swerves to the left to avoid a head-on collision, and slowly weaves through stopped oncoming traffic to get on the right side of the road again.

Not an idiot in a car but in a Semi [oc]

Initially the poster thought the semi was at fault for this near-miss, but after reviewing the footage a different culprit becomes clear. If you pay close attention to the footage, a white pickup is seen turning in front of oncoming traffic, which causes the semi to swerve into the dash cammer’s lane.
In the comments, u/bgerrard wrote, “Edit: just realized the tractor trailer driver is not to blame.. the small pickup ahead of me is the cause for all of this.. watch the little pickup ahead of me turn out in front of the semi and other oncoming traffic.. he is the idiot in the car.”
Another viewer chimed in, saying, “Yeah it took me like 10 times watching the video before I noticed the true idiot. That was a cluster f@#%, and it’s a miracle that there was no collision.
What do you think? Did you spot the “true idiot” at first, or did you have to re-watch the video? Either way, this footage is a reminder to always be vigilant on the road… because you never know what might happen.
