A dashcam video making the rounds on r/Truckers shows just how quickly a routine run can turn into a serious accident.
The video, posted by u/Pitiful-MobileGamer, shows a blue semi truck traveling in the left lane of a two-lane highway while an orange Toyota RAV4 drives alongside it in the right lane. Without warning, the RAV4 suddenly turns left directly into the truck’s path, apparently attempting to enter a dirt road on the opposite side of the highway.
The truck driver has almost no time to react, and the semi slams into the side of the RAV4, sending the SUV spinning as the impact forces the truck off the roadway. The semi then plows through the shoulder and crashes into a line of trees before finally coming to a stop.

The video doesn’t include any information about where the crash happened or whether anyone was injured, but many truckers in the Reddit comments pointed out how little chance the driver had to avoid the collision once the RAV4 committed to the turn.
As always, the comments on r/Truckers were filled with drivers sharing similar experiences and reminding motorists never to assume a semi can stop on a dime.
“I literally flinched when it hit the tree. As quickly as it stopped, you know that HURT,” wrote one viewer. “Thanks for the nightmare fuel, lol,” said another.
