On November 2, Reddit user u/-FaZe uploaded footage of a semi entering a highway from the wrong way to the active subreddit r/IdiotsInCars.
In the video, a semi appears to have made a wrong turn and drives up an exit lane to the highway. There, the big rig sits and waits for oncoming vehicles to pass by. When a small gap in traffic appears, it pulls out and blocks all lanes of traffic to make a U-turn. Luckily, the oncoming drivers were able to brake in time and there were no collisions.
In the comments section, Reddit users seem to be pretty divided on how much the trucker is at fault.
Below the video one user wrote, “The arrogance of certain people is infuriating.” In reply, another commented, “Admittedly the trucker did a really stupid thing, but is it such a huge inconvenience to slow down for a moment to let him get out of the way?”
Another user defended the trucker saying, “Turned out better than it could have. But how they ended up going the wrong way on that other road seems like something to look into.”
Did the trucker make the best of the situation? Or do you think they should’ve handled it differently? Watch for yourself and decide:
