$10.4 Million Worth of Drugs Found in Jalapeño Paste Haul

This drug bust sounds like something you’d see on Breaking Bad.

According to NBC 7 San Diego, the K-9 inspection unit at a cargo facility near the US-Mexico border sniffed out methamphetamine and cocaine in a tractor trailer. The bust was made at Otay Mesa Cargo Facility on December 13. The 28-year-old trucker was hauling a shipment of jalapeño paste… and apparently a little something extra.

US Customs and Border Protection reported that the trailer had over 500 pounds of coke and 3,000 pounds of meth hidden in the vats of jalapeño paste. The trucker was placed under arrest and taken to Homeland Security Investigations for further questioning.
