A trucker had a close call with two pickups slipping and sliding on a snowy highway!
This video, posted by u/AgentOmegaNM on r/Truckers, shows the scary moment a pickup loses control in rough winter conditions. The dashcam video shows the trucker’s POV, driving along two white pickup trucks. One merges into the right lane in front of the semi, but slides on the slick road into the shoulder. While it struggles to regain control, another white pickup drives past, nearly clipping it on the way. While the sliding pickup tries to regain control, it slowly swerves between the two lanes. Thankfully, the dashcam trucker gently pressed the brakes to avoid smashing into a rear-end accident.

In the comments of the video, the trucker explained, “The second he started sliding I had my foot off the accelerator and I was gently pressing the brakes. In case you missed it, you can see my speed start to decrease immediately by the data on the bottom. That last bit of heavy braking was to account for the fact that he slid from the right shoulder back in front of me and to hopefully avoid a collision. I didn’t jackknife the trailer, didn’t get the people behind me involved in a crash and didn’t slam into the moron in front of me.”
