Three Dead After Illegal Immigrant Trucker Causes Wreck.
A devastating crash in Florida left three people dead after a semi-truck driver made an illegal U-turn. The driver, later identified as Harjinder Singh, is an illegal immigrant who authorities believe entered the United States in 2018. The Florida Dept. of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) reported that he was granted a CDL in California, despite crossing the US-Mexico border illegally.
Fox News reported Singh attempted the U-turn in a median opening, blocking all northbound lanes with his trailer. A minivan traveling behind was unable to stop and smashed into the side of the trailer, resulting in three fatalities. The victims were a 30-year-old male driver, 37-year-old female passenger, and a 54-year-old female passenger. Two victims were killed on the scene while a third later died at the hospital. Singh and a passenger in his cab were uninjured.
“This is a devastating tragedy made even worse by the fact that it was totally preventable. Illegal aliens that have no legal right to be in our country certainly should not be granted commercial drivers’ licenses,” White House Spokeswoman Abigail Jackson told Fox News. “Gavin Newscum’s pro-illegal alien policies have deadly consequences. Yet he continues to double down and put illegals over American citizens.”
Authorities described the maneuver as reckless and criminal. Singh now faces three counts of vehicular homicide, along with immigration violations, and an ICE detainer has been issued to hold him in custody for possible deportation after his criminal case concludes.
