$6 Million Truck Theft Ring Busted by Florida Detectives!
“We’ve stopped a major criminal enterprise that was taking from those who help drive our economy forward.”
Three suspects were arrested in Florida for the theft of semi-trucks and dump trucks worth over $6 million. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the three men were involved in a criminal organization stealing commercial vehicles.
The operation went on for months, prompting an investigation from the Auto Theft Unit from the Sheriff’s Office. The theft ring spanned multiple counties, numbering to over 6 in total for the past year and a half.
Detectives from the HCSO’s Auto Theft Unit arrested Rayge Sanchez (40), Christian Garcia Diaz (26), and Jose Nuñez (29) for their involvement in the semi-truck theft ring.
Sheriff Chad Chronister from the HCSO emphasized the impact of these crimes in his statement. “These weren’t just stolen trucks; these were critical tools for businesses, livelihoods for families, and key components of infrastructure projects across our region.”
