Ice Cream Hauler Crashes in Oregon
In a “chilling” incident on Interstate 5, a semi-truck transporting 28,000 pounds of ice cream overturned near Marion County, Oregon. The accident occurred in the southbound lanes close to milepost 250, leading to significant traffic disruptions.
According to KOIN 6, the accident happened on March 22. Oregon State Police said the accident was caused by two cars – a black Honda and blue Mustang, possibly road raging in the left lane. The black Mustang swerved in front of the ice cream hauler, causing it to veer off the roadway and tip onto its side. The 48-year-old trucker was the only one in the truck, and thankfully wasn’t injured.
When the tow truck arrived at the scene of the crash, the ice cream was unloaded from the trailer and it was towed.
Let this be a reminder to all truckers and four wheelers alike to drive carefully — especially on rocky roads.
